CAIS utilizes the curriculum of Alberta Education, Canada at all grade levels. The Alberta curriculum has earned the accolades of tertiary institutions throughout the world due to the quality of students that are being produced in the province.

A sound curriculum is important but even more important is the manner in which curriculum is taught. The School has adopted a student-centered, inquiry-based approach that emphasizes integration of technology across the curriculum. It is believed that this approach will serve students well in preparing for life after CAIS.
In addition, the high school program provides opportunity for students to enroll in a number of Advanced Placement courses that are counted towards the 100-credit Alberta Diploma requirement and, at the same time, are recognized by many universities and colleges world-wide as entry-level university credits. The Advanced Placement Program offerings are continuously being enhanced in response to student demand.
